Every once in a while an opportunity falls in your lap that is so exciting (and a tad bit scary) that you do a little dance thinking about it. When a friend, LCP Bride and fellow creative, Kristen, reached out explaining that the National Association of Professional Child Photographers is seeking out a couple additional speakers on various topics unrelated to professional child photography for their yearly retreat, I was certainly intrigued! And wow, am I honored, or what, to be able to be one of those speakers on the topic of food photography! Being able to teach and pour into other photographers & creatives is something I absolutely love, so having to chance to teach on something I get so geeky about is a dream.

The retreat is in January at the Ritz-Carlton at Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee, and I’m so very excited. I’m fascinated by the skills of newborn, child & family photographers, and love the idea of people expanding their horizons in photography to learn about something different. While they are learning a bit from me on food photography, there is no doubt I’ll be learning ten-fold from them in their expertise!

This month, I’m excited and humbled to have been featured on the NAPCP October newsletter about my story & food photography! Thank you to their fabulous team. Be sure to check out the feature & if you’re interested in pursuing child, family or senior photography (with a side of some food photography), be sure to join us at the retreat in January!
