There is something special about a wedding day surrounded by nature with an amazing couple and their family & friends. Anne & Holton‘s spring celebration was just that! They met years ago while living in a sustainable community in the rainforest of Panama, and after returning to the states, Anne moving to Augusta, GA & getting engaged, the two began thinking of their ideal place for a wedding. With their background in Panama, a friend suggested they look into Serenbe, a progressive community on the outskirts of Atlanta set among acres of forests & meadows with an emphasis of arts, business and a new standard for living in “community.” Basically, my dream of a town, and therefore of setting for a wedding! And wow, truly, I can’t imagine a more perfect place for their big day! As a wedding coordinator & team member at one of my favorite event designers & florists in Augusta, Greg Boulus Events & Charleston Street, Anne usually is hanging out on the other side of the wedding day with me. Instead, she had the chance to be celebrated alongside Holton!

All of Greg Boulus Event’s amazing work paired with the gorgeous spring blooms and swaying Georgia pines made for a stunning day of natural beauty. Plus, seeing the love their families share and the longevity and depth of friendships showed the loyalty with which Anne & Holton treat their people. Anne’s timeless Anne Barge gown with the lavender sash was so beautiful – and she wore her grandmother’s stunning vintage dinner ring! They said their I Do’s underneath an incredible floral arbor surrounded by a pine forest and danced the night away at the pavilion near the lake! It was the most amazing day for a couple who deserves the world. A perfect combination of elegant & rustic, simple & organic, with a whole lot of love and laughter!

Anne & Holton, having the chance to capture your wedding was such an honor. When someone in the wedding industry invites you to photograph their own wedding, there isn’t much higher compliment, and I’m so grateful for it! From the moment we met we became fast friends! You are such fun & easy-going people and seeing the way you interact brings a smile to my face. I can’t wait to continue to celebrate with you in Augusta, and have dinner dates with Binks & Sophie. Actually, let’s just all move to Serenbe together, yea? Great! 😉
