Just a few days ago, The Bridal Theory reminded me of National Margarita Day with a throwback to our Pineapple Jalapeño Margarita. Immediately, I began racking my brain for a way to celebrate such a delicious day. I’ve been wanting to try out Powell & Mahoney‘s Blood Orange mixer, so I pulled out blood oranges, cara cara oranges and limes to craft up a take on a Blood Orange Margarita, but with Creature Comforts Brewing Co.’s Athena. This is my favorite beer – light & refreshing, and perfectly sour! I jokingly tell people it’s the champagne of beer. Paired with some tequila, these citrusy, sweet, tangy flavors were a perfect combination to welcome Chip home from work for National Margarita Day! The super simple recipe below! Cheers to a Blood Orange Beerita! What’s your favorite margarita flavor?
