Weddings that perfectly represent my couples fill my heart with so much joy! When Jessica first reached out to me for a Wednesday evening wedding in March, I was excited to hear about what she and her fiance had planned for their intimate ceremony in Augusta, GA. As they began planning their wedding, their initial thoughts about a larger wedding quickly turned to desires for an intimate ceremony with their closest family. With 7 guests total, including the the officiant (Jessica’s brother!), this ceremony could not have been more special of a celebration for two people with those who matter most in their lives.

I think it’s so special when a couple plans their wedding true to their desires. Big or small, weekday or weekday, if the wedding feels like “you” and starts a legacy for your life, then it’s perfect. And Jessica & Russell’s day was just that! We began the day getting ready at their new home where their two sweet pups, Charlotte & Molly, were so attentive to their new Mr. & Mrs. all day long. One of the only photos they requested were photos of each of them with their pups. After seeing the sweetness we captured of them getting ready with their dogs, I am now convinced I need a vow renewal one day to have pictures just like that with Sophie! 

Jessica has an office & vanity room full of the most glorious window light & white walls – a dream for this white space loving photographer! You could see her servant-hearted and relaxed nature when I arrived and she was already fully hair & makeup done – and she had done it herself! It was amazing! Then, in turn, she helped her sister with her hair. What a sweet bride to serve others on her own wedding day! Her details were full of beauty – particularly her great-grandmother’s cocktail ring! I love this tradition & heirloom!

After finishing getting ready, we headed over to Enterprise Mill Events for their first look, portraits & ceremony at the pavilion, and closed out with the most beautiful sunset! I love that Enterprise Mill has such great spots for taking portraits throughout their property and the Augusta Canal close by! Truly, this day couldn’t have been more perfect for Jessica & Russell, and happy tears were certainly shed. I actually teared up watching their families embrace after they tied the knot. It was so obvious that they share so much love with their nearest and dearest. After finishing up, they joined a few more friends and family at the Partridge Inn for dinner, and the next day jetted off to Miami for their honeymoon! The classic simplicity of the day was so lovely and I was honored to capture it!

Jessica & Russell, you two are the perfect example of a couple who is wholeheartedly themselves, and I loved being able to celebrate your wedding day with you! Your love is tangible, and I was honored to be counted among the few witnesses to your first day of marriage. Thank you for inviting me in… and for sharing your sweet pups with me too! You’re officially a family of 4! Congrats!
