Family is of the utmost importance to me. When I first began my business, one of the goals in being an entrepreneur and a photographer was to be able to choose when I would work and when I would allow myself rest, time with friends and family, travel and more. I truly believe in the motto "Work hard, play hard." It allows me to dedicate my all to my clients when I'm serving them, and likewise to dedicate my all to my family and friends during off time. It really has been the biggest blessing, especially in seasons where "busy" doesn't even quite describe our lives as a business owner & resident in medicine.
As a result, I spent the last week with my parents, my in-laws & sister-in-law (and 4 dogs!) vacationing at the gorgeous Sea Pines Resort at Hilton Head Island, SC. An added bonus was that Chip's schedule even allowed him to come for the weekend! It was truly just what I needed before beginning 6 weekends in a row of weddings, among multiple engagement shoots, bridal portrait sessions & commercial and food photography shoots! This week of rest, time at the beach & family was a perfect way to kick off fall wedding season, and I'm so grateful for it! In fact, I even was able to get a couple photos of our little family and the gorgeousness that is coastal South Carolina! Now I'm just dying to get back to the area for a couple Hilton Head area & Charleston weddings later this year!
