The beauty of the coast never ceases to amaze me! This past weekend we celebrated my grandmother-in-law's birthday in the area she grew up on St. Simons Island, GA. We had been talking about this trip for a while, but our schedules never all seemed to match up, until a change in plans opened a perfect weekend to get away!
With a wedding at Christ Church in St. Simons, one of the oldest churches in Georgia, and the Frederica Boat House later this year, it was the greatest weekend of spending quality time with the family, eating amazing food, letting the dogs run on the beach and exploring the endless views of live oaks and Spanish moss. My grandmother-in-law, or "MaMa" as we all call her, has a heart of gold and a little bit of sass. Since meeting Chip, I've had the privilege of getting to know her and his MeMe and enjoying having grandparents so close!
Plus, I loved getting to visit the venues and scout locations for shooting, and also see Chip run around with a 35mm film camera we adopted from Chip's mom! He has a great eye, so I can't wait to see what he captured! Here are a few images from our exploration of the island and of our sweet MaMa!
