Every once in a while you have one of those “small world” moments that reminds you we’re all much more connected than you could ever imagine! One evening I received a Facebook message from Spencer, a friend of my husband’s from medical school, to let me know he would be proposing and would love me to capture it! Unfortunately, I wasn’t available the day he was to propose, but I was still beyond excited to hear the great news and asked who his bride-to-be would be: enter Holly! I knew I recognized the name, so figured it was from college or mutual friends, and looked her up on Facebook. Turns out, Holly and I were friends in early elementary school! Too fun! Once he officially popped the question, I was so thrilled to reconnect with her and have the chance to capture their big day!

Holly and Spencer were beyond thrilled for their wedding day to come. Once the countdown was finished, seeing Holly & Spencer’s joy during their first look made the wait all the more worth it. These two make each other laugh and smile, and truly share a special love. They were married at the same church as Spencer’s parents, and it was such a sweet way to continue tradition, especially with gorgeous Christmas decorations for the holiday season at the church! In fact, the color palette of wines, violets, greens, and whites for the day was so lovely for a beautiful December day! Finally, the evening closed out with a party with the dinosaurs at Fernbank! What a neat venue for a reception!

Holly & Spencer, you two share such a joy together that reminds me of the Lord’s perfect provision in friend’s “other halves.” Seeing the smiles you bring out in each other is such fun! I can’t wait to see what is in store for you two. And Holly, know that any time you need a friend & fellow resident’s wife to talk to, I’m here! Hope you enjoy these photos while you’re soaking up the Aruba sun!
