In May of 2014 I launched this little business in hopes that I would have the chance to photograph some amazing marriages and serve my clients in a unique way. A little over two years later, I’m in awe over the amazing people I get to interact with every day! Upon the realization that this fabulous wedding was my 50th as a primary shooter, I was quickly so grateful to have experienced it on such a special day! It certainly was worthy of hanging the #50 hat on, and such a memorable occasion!

You see, Megan & Tyler are special for a couple reasons. 1. They both are medical residents, which just makes me feel right at home! Plus, Tyler is in the military, so I discovered my love for the military tradition of the saber arch! 2. They love the Dawgs & Jesus… so double whammy of goodness. 3. They are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met. I mean, when a groom has 16 groomsmen… you know that he’s got to be a pretty amazing friend. Add that to Megan’s calming & sweet personality, and you’ve got a match made in heaven!

Then, you send them to Athens to celebrate at the Taylor Grady House, and really the wedding weekend can’t be beat! Plus, one more fun fact: Megan & Tyler did their first look under the tree that he proposed at… and their dog, Maverick, was ready for his close up right after! From heirloom details like Tyler’s grandfather’s wedding band, cuff links & dog tags, to the couple’s (and let’s be real… everyone’s) favorite: white chocolate cheesecake from LRG Provisions, every detail told the couple’s story from start to finish! I was so honored to capture their day led by the wonderful Whitewood Events, with an amazing team of vendors! And now, I’m thrilled to share a peek at their wedding!

Megan & Tyler, can I just say “thank you” for sharing in such a joyful occasion with me?! I’ve found myself editing your images with a hand raised in “PRAISE!” often. 😉 You two have a way of making people feel like they are a million bucks, and I’m so excited to see how he uses your talents and hearts through medicine, military and simply serving as a “team” in everything you do. I’m hoping & praying you either end up in Augusta so we can hang out together or get stationed somewhere amazing so I can come visit. Either way, can’t wait to continue celebrating you as you enjoy your first months of marriage and prepare to finish residency strong! Cheering you on – with red & black pom poms to boot!
