For years my mom made these incredible oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for our family. Sometimes she would add pecans and raisins, other days walnuts, dried cherries and apricots, and other days just whatever she could find in the pantry that seemed a good fit. They quickly became my dad’s favorite, and recently resurfaced as our go-to “treat” whenever I come to visit. They are perfect right out of the oven, and seriously amazing frozen… and I don’t hate eating the dough straight out of the bowl either!

Just a few weeks ago my mom made them for Father’s Day and my dad’s birthday – both of which are in the same week – and then I was fortunate enough to get sent home with a bag of them and her old cookie sheet to use as a surface in food styling & food photography! Needless to say, I was pretty excited! I love how the images turned out. Don’t you just want to pluck one of these cookies right out of the shot and dunk it in ice cold milk? Enjoy!
