One of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer is the opportunity to meet and serve some of the kindest couples in the world during a super special season of life. When I first met Kathryn & her mom for coffee, I left thinking “Gosh, I like her! We would be great friends.” And truly, that sentiment only grew as I got to know Kathryn & Kevin more. Although they live in Washington DC, Kathryn was raised in Augusta – and now I’m trying to convince them to move back so we can be besties!

The week of their wedding, I had the chance to capture the most stunning of bridal portrait sessions for Kathryn at a family friend’s home. Built in the early 1900s, this historic Augusta home boasts original handpainted wallpaper, the most gorgeous of light and endless bits of character. I couldn’t have asked for a more inspiring space to capture Kathryn in all of her beauty! Truly, this girl is simply stunning. Her dress was so perfect and her vintage, handmade lace veil worn by generations in her family captured light in the most stunning of ways! I can’t wait to share her wedding photos soon, and am so excited to share these bridal portraits!
