There are few brides as encouraging as Jordan. Throughout her engagement she would send me notes full of kind words and scripture that would often bring me to tears. Upon our arrival to their wedding day, she even prayed over my second shooter and I. I mean, truly the kindest soul – and Jonathon is her perfect match. Genuine and funny, full of life and service for others. Pair them with the sweetest pup, Moose (who walked down the aisle like a champ!!) and this wedding was pretty darn amazing. So amazing that we were thrilled to have the wedding featured on the lovely Snippet & Ink! What a gorgeous feature! A huge thank you to the team at S&I!

When Jordan & Jonathon began planning their big day, they knew that they wanted it to be about their favorite things: simple elegance with touches of patriotism to represent Jonathon’s service as a Pilot in the United States Air Force & classic & romantic details for Jordan’s timeless style, and finally about celebrating His providence and their marriage! Much of their engagement was spent apart while Jonathon was deployed overseas, so they incorporated their story into their wedding day held at Jonathon’s aunt & uncle’s gorgeous property, which also was where the couple first said “I love you!” The third family member to say “I do” on the property (and now the second family member’s wedding I’ve shot there!) , Jonathon & Jordan incorporated patriotic elements throughout the day and plenty of calligraphy details (by her maid of honor!), lush florals by Vine & Branch Floral Design and more!

From the American flag displayed on the wall of their reception to represent strength & unity of our country – and their marriage – to the American flag lapel pins in honor of Jonathon’s grandaddy’s pin – who was Jonathon’s inspiration to become a pliot; and even to the subtle stripe of Jordan’s gorgeous Kate McDonald gown and their golden retriever pup’s collar & leash, Southern all-American details could be found throughout the wedding day. They said their vows and shared in communion with family under an arbor built by Jonathon’s uncle overlooking a lake, a small vineyard and the family’s barn.

And finally, after months of planning and Jordan preparing herself for her brother not being able to be present on the big day, Jordan texted me and the fabulous planner Mary Catherine of Catherine Kelly Events to tell us he was there!!! Cue all the tears! He was due to deploy as a Combat Rescue Officer in the Air Force a week before the wedding, but they approved his the delay of deployment to see his little sister get married! There were so many tears as he walked her down the aisle, danced with her for a brother/sister dance and soaked up every minute together. I couldn’t have been more thrilled for them!

Jordan & Jonathon, your day will forever be a favorite of mine. It is uncommon you find a couple with hearts for service like you two. Without even thinking twice, you sacrifice yourselves over others, and that is going to be such a powerful attribute for your marriage and how He uses you as a couple. I am so honored to call you clients, and moreso friends, and I can not wait to bring Sophie for play dates on the beach! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me in and sharing your lives with me!

And see this next gorgeous lady? Recognize her from Catherine & Mark‘s gorgeous wedding just a couple years ago at the same property? So fun to be back at the Trammell Farm for another family wedding!
