Andrea & Patrick’s families have known each other for years, but it wasn’t until almost a year ago to the week that they finally officially met… and the rest is history. And with lots of their history at the country club in town where they both grew up attending, it only seemed fitting they would add to their story there: from the first “date,” to the proposal, to the wedding, and more, so many memories have been made at the Augusta Country Club for Andrea & Patrick. It’s probably why Andrea began to tear up when I showed her a sneak preview during the reception of one of their portraits from earlier that day… the two of them walking along the green, hand-in-hand, less than an hour after saying “I do” with the club (and where Patrick popped the question!) in the background. I couldn’t be more honored to capture their day… and see the joy the two of them have.

Andrea’s mom said it best when she described how they “seemed to beam” all night. It’s true. You can see the excitement in their eyes & love in their hearts through these photos, and I can’t wait to put together their album! From her stunning dress from House of the Bride & hair & makeup from Cucumber & Mint to the florals designed by Opus Weddings & Design, everything was beyond stunning… and Andrea’s vision of “Augusta in the spring” came together perfectly with magnolias, dogwoods, ferns, & more! With a ceremony at the same church Andrea’s parents got married (and a priceless reaction from Patrick as Andrea walked down the aisle!!), and a reception at the Club, these two were surrounded by all of their most dear family & friends!

Finally, their sendoff couldn’t have been more perfect for these ultimate Georgia Bulldog fans: red & black pom poms & a vintage white convertible with red leather interior! So much fun & a perfect way to leave, headed for a Disney Cruise! Truly an amazing day for Mr. & Mrs. Bird (their hashtag was #LoveBirds0414… how fun is that?!).

Andrea & Patrick, thank you from the bottom of my heart for not just inviting me to capture your wedding, but for inviting me into your families. I felt right at home with you all, and that means the world. The light in your eyes for each other makes me so excited for this new season of marriage for you both – you’re going to have so much fun together, I have no doubt! Absolutely grateful for y’all, and so excited for you to see these & so much more! Thank you! And GO DAWGS! PS: can’t wait for our anniversary session at Sanford Stadium! 😉
