Oh the beauty that was Sarah & James’ day! You may remember when I captured their gorgeous engagement session in New York City last fall. Sarah & James met & fell in love in the city, both growing up in New England/New York… however, there’s more to that story than meets the eye. James is originally from England, and Sarah & her family grew up visiting Aiken, SC & Woodside Plantation often. When Sarah & James got engaged, Sarah knew she wanted to tie the knot at a destination wedding in a place that meant so much to her family! Her father had spent years developing Woodside Plantation, and more recently, her mother decorated the stunning Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation (even with some help from Sarah’s keen design eye!).

The first day I met with Sarah & her mother at the Club, I knew this was going to be a special wedding. With so many memories on the property, and such a stunning backdrop for a ceremony & reception, I was so excited to capture it all. And little did I know, it would be everything and more than we could dream of! Their family & friends traveled all the way from the Northeast and NYC and England and more to Aiken, SC where they celebrated for the wedding led by Greg Boulus Events! From the moment the day began to closing with a killer dance party with Party on the Moon… it was a dream! And their guests even got a taste of the hot summer heat wave of South Carolina! 😉 Sarah looked beyond in her Monique Lhullier gown & James was so sharp in his classic tux – together, capturing their portraits was such a dream! Couldn’t be more excited to share these images!
