Kind Words from a Family Photo in Florence

One of my favorite things about photography is being able to serve people in unexpected ways. While traveling in Italy, a family asked if I would take their photo on their iPad. The mom and dad had visited Italy years before and now were taking their two grown sons on a tour of the country!

Of course I said yes… but knew the iPad wouldn’t do the gorgeous view of Florence justice so I offered to also take one on my camera and send it to them. After editing lots and lots of photos, I emailed them a copy and quickly received this response:

“Thank you so much taking our picture and even more so for remembering and sending this photo!… Even with all our thousands of pictures via iPhone, iPad, Canon, your photo is the running choice for our annual Christmas card shot. You are truly blessed with this fine talent.”

How cool is that! Makes a photographer’s day to be able to document such a special memory in people’s lives, not to mention to be in the running for the coveted spot on the Christmas card! Love that I could help them out in a seemingly small, but meaningful way!

Now, if you’ve got the travel bug like I do, check out more photos from Italy here.

  1. This is the sweetest thing, Lauren! Love that you were able to make a difference! The dome looks amazing in this shot 🙂
