Yesterday I spent the afternoon with Karin of Cote Designs in Aiken, SC planning for our next Rising Tide Society TuesdaysTogether here in Augusta, GA and getting to experience an amazing one-on-one floral design session. Karin is such a fabulously talented florist and a dear friend. Since I moved to Augusta I’ve been telling her how much I’d love to learn floral design techniques with her. Yesterday was the first of hopefully many sessions where I had the chance to learn under her guidance and have a bit Karin’s floral genius while playing with some of the most gorgeous, garden-inspired blooms. I fully believe that knowing a creative process helps you appreciate and photograph the final product so much more and dabbling in creative projects keeps us inspired. 

Complete with peonies, ranunculus, Japanese wisteria, blackberries, David Austin roses, scabiosa, dahlias, fern curls and lush foraged greenery, I literally am swooning from a heavenly scent and view every time I walk by my kitchen table. A huge thank you to Cote Designs for all of her guidance and a fun day in the studio!
