Yesterday made us official Augustans. After many years of hearing of the glory of Augusta National and the Masters, and nearly 2 years of driving by the legendary course, Chip & I had the opportunity to attend Masters! Our dear friends, Chip’s co-resident and his wife, invited us to join them for the Drive, Chip & Putt day, where we learned that the Masters and Augusta National is everything they say it is and more!

From the immaculate greens, to the beautiful landscaping, to the never-ending supply of pimento cheese & egg salad, and even to the peach ice cream cookie sandwiches, everything was as our friend’s describe it “Disney World for adults.” It was pretty magical! It’s hard to believe that this little slice of heaven is right smack dab in the middle of Augusta and only a couple miles from our house. We had the most fun walking the grounds, watching the kids play in their championship, exploring the gift shop & eating our weight in egg salad & sweet tea with great friends.

Plus, we were so excited that we got to see Bubba Watson, a fellow Georgia Bulldawg and former Masters champion! He spent some time visiting with the youth playing for the day and encouraging them in their game, and as he was on his way out he so kindly stopped for some autographs for some of the kids near us! What a fun extra bonus! Here are a few photos to give you a peek into the beauty of the course & the fun of the day! A huge thank you to the Foxes for such a great experience!
