There are few things I love more than when fall comes around the corner in Athens, GA. After spending 7 years living in that little city, we grew to love the hum of football season in the air, the crisp leaves and the dancing colors on the trees showing off one final time for the year while the sun dips below the horizon. Add the most stunning wedding on Epting Events‘ property, The Hill, and I’m one happy photographer! When Lauren reached out to me about her big day letting me know that our mutual friend and the talented photographer, Chloe, referred me, I knew immediately this was going to be a special day. Ben and Chloe’s husband are great friends from their college days, and have been through years of supporting each other in the Marines & Army! This wedding was the perfect celebration bringing friends and family together from all over!

And it was a worthy occasion to do so – in fact, The Hill couldn’t have been a more perfect venue! When Lauren and her family moved to the Athens area at the beginning of middle school, they lived in the little stone house on Epting’s property. The owner, a relative of Lauren’s family, warmly welcomed them into such an amazing hideaway in Athens. I can only imagine Lauren and her sister running around the woods, exploring every nook, and Lauren dreaming one day of getting married in that very same spot. I love that her dream finally came true – and she had the opportunity to trade muddy shoes and ponytails for bridal gowns and romantic updos. It was so special that The Hill has such special meaning to their family!

From the moment of their first look, Lauren & Ben shared such love and adoration for each other. They have the sweetest interaction – and I couldn’t have loved capturing their love more under the canopy of trees with the most gorgeous light beaming through. These two have spanned much distance over the course of their relationship through Ben’s time in the Marines and deployment and Lauren’s job as a nurse, and now I’m so excited for them to officially be husband & wife!

Lauren & Ben, having the chance to capture your day was such an honor! Your heart for serving others is so evident in everything you do and your interactions with each other! What joy to capture your first day to forever – especially after such a long road of long distance to get here. I can’t tell you how much fun I had and how I felt like I was one of your crew right from the start. Thank you so much!! Congratulations, Captain and Mrs. Lowring!!
