One afternoon while having a little creative day with Bonnie of b is for bonnie, Rachel Tenny, and Paulene of Leen Machine Calligraphy and Design, Bonnie mentioned something that had been on her heart for a long time: an intimately restful retreat for creatives designed to “invest, love on and pour into creative business owners who seek to turn their businesses into intentional, heartfelt endeavors that are grounded on purpose.” Immediately, we were hooked.

You can imagine my delight when a few days later Bonnie asked if I would be interested in joining her to create and photograph a styled shoot for the aesthetic and branding of the Illume Retreat. After weeks of e-mails, texts and calls brainstorming ideas and gathering vendors, we met up to craft an inspiration shoot that represents the place where we do our most authentic creating – our workspaces.

With an amazing backdrop of Enterprise Mill Events in downtown Augusta, GA, each detail was perfectly curated and Cote Designs created the most gorgeous florals – and even taught Bonnie how to assemble a bouquet for the floral styling portion of the shoot. It truly evoked the sense of creative learning, growth and celebration that Illume Retreat aims to do! You can learn more about the inspiration behind the shoot on the b is for bonnie blog. I’m so thrilled to share more images from the styled shoot, and to let you know that registration opens today! Going to be an amazing experience!
