When Shannan of Nutrition Simply reached out to me to capture her brand for the relaunch of her website, we quickly hit it off. As a dietician, Shannan empowers women to be their best selves through “real simple science, real simple recipes and really real talk.” My white-space loving, foodie self was just about jumping for joy when I heard her vision for the new site and the branding photography I’d get to capture. “Simple, minimalist, and inviting” are three words she used – think West Elm meets J.Crew meets Goop – with lots of neutrals, white space and an opportunity to unify her brand from her office space to the pages of her website to her Instagram. Then, pair that with details of Shannan working in daily life and how food plays a role in that, and we were set.
Upon arrival, I first was dying (and still am) over the most gorgeous light in her loft! But then, one of my favorite things about shooting branding, commercial & product photography is getting to see the brand in action and help shape and tell the story through imagery. I found out details about Shannan’s typical day, how Nutrition Simply got started, and more – all of which helped mold her shoot into what we created!
