Wedding days are such special days that incorporate the important people, places and things in a couple’s life. For Hayden & Bardin, this was certainly true. On their first date, they began talking about the church Hayden had recently been attending The Cathedral of St. Philip in Atlanta and how Bardin attended Sewanee, an Episcopal university. As their relationship continued and love grew, they decided to go through confirmation classes together at The Cathedral – and shortly thereafter, to have their wedding ceremony there! And this past weekend, I was so honored to capture that ceremony & celebration at The Wimbish House. The Cathedral has great meaning to the two of them and it was just the most lovely day with so many gorgeous places to shoot! In fact, earlier this year we photographed Hayden’s bridal portraits there and I fell in love with the gorgeous light outside the Cathedral doors and their fabulous gardens.
From the start of their day, special moments and pieces played such a role! The cross necklace here was originally worn by one of the groom’s family members in 1885 and then worn by all of the ladies in their family for their wedding day. What a special legacy! I’m such a sucker for family heirlooms! From the sweet love Hayden & Bardin share, to the most precious little flower girls, this day was such a wonderful one led by the amazing Danielle Hulsey for Chancey Charm. And finally, let’s just be honest, any wedding that incorporates a getaway with a sweet pup, I’m sold! Lettie was the perfect flower pup! I’m so excited to share a few photos from the day!
Hayden & Bardin, thank you so much for inviting me to capture your wedding day, family, friends and the special moments! I just love remembering the joy on your faces when you declared “We’re getting married today!” during your first look. Congratulations & enjoy your honeymoon in Europe!! Wishing you all the best in your marriage and in building your life together in Americus!
