Well folks, 23 weddings in a year and in a snap, wedding season is finished. I don’t even know how it’s possible that we’re here to November, but one thing I do know is that I can’t imagine a more perfect way to end the year than Haley & Daniel’s Charleston wedding at the Governor Thomas Bennett House in downtown Charleston. Lord.have.mercy. it was perfection… and basically my wedding dreams come true.

You may remember Haley & Daniel‘s engagement session with their precious pup, Maddux, from almost exactly a year ago! When I first met Haley through a referral from my dear friend Crystal at Cucumber & Mint and she wanted a TakoSushi date here in Augusta, GA, I knew from an instant we would be buds. What I didn’t realize is that over the course of the past year, Haley and I would become dear friends and religiously have post-workout chats that lasted about as long as the workouts themselves at our gym! I couldn’t be more grateful to capture her and Daniel’s day. Shooting weddings for friends is something special – and seeing how Daniel & Haley are just such a perfect fit for each other is so fun. She giggles, he kisses her on the forehead, and then there is that sweet smile they share! Daniel even began tearing up before their first look in anticipation for seeing Haley.

Daniel grew up in Augusta, and Haley, from Richmond, VA, attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Only about an hour away from Augusta, she would visit our town with her friend (and speaker in the wedding!), Shelby. Daniel & Haley met and quickly fell in love with each other, and likewise with their “city” Charleston. When they were choosing spots for their wedding day, the only place that made sense was The Holy City – and how perfect of a place for their classically elegant, Southern destination wedding. Ooh! Events perfectly crafted up their gorgeous day, and the details and setting couldn’t have fit their gorgeous color scheme and Haley’s style more perfectly. Then add a jaunt down the streets of Charleston for portraits, and it’s a photographer’s heaven. Goodness, I am SO excited to share this one!

Haley & Daniel, walking into your wedding day felt so perfectly right. You two are such a breath of fresh air in your love for each other. From Haley’s stunning smile to Daniel’s sweet way of snuggling into Haley, I can’t imagine a more perfect feeling of joy for your wedding day! Those smiles walking back down the aisle as husband and wife tell it all: you two are perfect as Mr. & Mrs. Wick! Thank you so much for the honor to capture your day and be a part of your story – and for your friendship. It means the world, and I can’t wait for more fun together here in Augusta! But for now, soak up every bit of Paris, mes amies! All my love!
